CAQHPosition Summary:
The Director, Identity and Access Management leads the strategic direction and governance of the IAM and CIAM program for the enterprise. This role oversees planning, development, operations, and management of the IAM and CIAM team, processes, architecture, and technologies.
The Director, Identity and Access Management is a full-time, exempt, remote position and reports to the CISO.
Base Salary Range: $180,000 - $200,000 annually.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Direct the planning, implementation/development, and operations of the overall IAM and CIAM team, processes, architecture, and tools/technology.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive IAM and CIAM strategy aligned with CAQH's business objectives and security requirements.
- Act as subject-matter-expert on all IAM and CIAM disciplines including identity governance and administration (IGA), access and authorization, privileged access management and identity verification for internal, external and customer-facing platforms.
- Identify ways to improve IAM and CIAM program performance and reduce costs across people, processes, and technology.
- Acquire and manage the necessary resources to support all IAM and CIAM functions, including leadership support, financial resources, and key security personnel, to support IT enterprise goals, and reduce overall organizational risk.
- Lead and manage the IAM and CIAM team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of IAM and CIAM solutions across various platforms, including Active Directory, Windows, Mac, Linux, and mobile devices in the cloud.
- Translate IT strategies and architecture standards into IAM and CIAM service programs, methods, and technologies, ensuring alignment with best IAM practices.
- Work with business application owners, technical stakeholders and architects to incorporate IAM and CIAM requirements and capabilities in new and existing applications and platforms.
- Ensure seamless integration of IAM and CIAM solutions with existing IT infrastructure and applications.
- Keep up with new developments and technologies in IAM and CIAM, such as AI and machine learning, to help foster innovation within the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure IAM and CIAM best practices are incorporated into all relevant IT projects and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain IAM and CIAM policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Design and implement CIAM solutions for clients and vendors.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Experience:
- 10+ Years of overall IT Experience with at least 3 in leadership role (Director, V.P., CIO).
- In-depth knowledge of Okta and IAG platforms, including configuration, administration, and customization capabilities.
- Strong understanding of identity management concepts, including authentication protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect), directory services (e.g., LDAP, Active Directory), and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
- Strong understanding of IAM/IGA principles, protocols, and standards
- Understanding of federation standards for seamless authentication and SSO across applications.
- Detailed technical knowledge related to applications, servers, infrastructure and networking technologies.
- Experience with CIAM platforms preferably Okta
Education:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Relevant industry certifications in CISSP, CISM, CCSP certifications preferred.
